Summer break is upon us. I look forward to this with visions of hammock lying and puddle jumping. I play scenes in my head of running through bucolic fields and giggling in mounds of dirt. We actually do not have a hammock. Whenever there are puddles there’s lightning. I hate nature and don’t actually want to play in the dirt. I delude myself even in my own daydreams.
Bird and Deal create a Summer Adventure list every year. We’ve already started this year’s list, which is a tad late considering this is the last week of school. Well, they do go on Monday for the official last day of school. What’s up with that, Wake County?!

This is such a great list. I can’t wait till my boys are a little older and we can do more of these things. You should also check out Three Bears Acres in Creedmore… great place for outdoor play.
