The ultimate Handmade in North Carolina extravaganza is coming soon to a gallery near you. That is, near you if you live near me…in Raleigh. VAE is hosting its fantastic annual holiday market this Sunday, December 14 12 – 4. Art, pottery, textiles, jewelry, T-shirts, handbags, and more will be for sale. You’ll not only support local artists, you will give a meaningful, unique gift to the loved ones on your list. I mean really, no one wants another acrylic sweater, hand blender, ear muffs, spice rack, jumper cables, pen and pencil set…
Come down to VAE at 309 W. Martin Street in downtown Raleigh this Sunday. Sip complimentary mimosas while finishing your holiday shopping and supporting local artisans. Did you see that? Complimentary mimosas, people.
Here are the 16 local artists, designers, and craftspeople:
Sue Bang, Popsies Pottery
Amy Barnard, The Wayward Stitch
Brandi Bowen, Ever So Lovely®
Kiona Elliott, Lucky Accessories
Jasmine Flood, RIADA by Adair, LLC
LaKeesha Fradella, Martian Creations

The main and exchange galleries are open too. Be sure to check out the artists who are participating in VAE’s Launch program (My friend Vince is one of them!). I’ve got my eye on a few items that just might make their way under the tree for me. VAE doesn’t dub this holiday market “local handmade awesomeness” for nothin’.
