It’s cold, people. And dark. So very dark. You should know that I am a wimp about cold weather. A tish below 60 degrees makes me reach for the flannel sheets and slipper socks. This is the time of year that I wear a Snuggie while Mac Daddy dons shorts and sweats in said flannel sheets. I actually wear Deal’s Snuggie because I do not have my own. It’s actually fine this way because then I never have to admit to owning one. That would be like admitting I actually bought the One Direction CD and just told people it was for my son. I would never do that. Ahem.
There is one thing that warms me up from the inside out in these cold months. No, not bourbon.
Coffee.
I love coffee any time of year, but its dark warmth is the perfect antidote to the chill of looming winter. I like black, no sugar. And strong. Come evening, when the counters are cleaned and lunches packed, and just before the dog needs one more potty break, I like to sip some coffee while settling in under Deal’s Snuggie. And those nights that I’d like some extra flavor, I add a tish of Kahlua (because a girl can’t have enough coffee flavor in her coffee) and Frangelico. I’ve always rather admired the bottle, which is reason enough to buy it.
I take my coffee cocktail sans whipped cream because it is a beverage, not dessert. The addition of whipped cream would mean I’d drink my dessert instead of indulge in these. Go ahead, click the link. It’s safe. I bet you can eat just one. Bwahahahahahhaha.
On shelves now.
