The weather folks are promising a hot weekend. I’ll embrace it because spring was more like winter around here, and I am allergic to winter. I’ve been eying a bright orange eyelet dress that hangs in my closet with the tags still attached. The sun hasn’t struck hot enough for me to don that dress yet, but this just might be the weekend. We have some socializing on the calendar, and mixed in with frolicking among friends will be family time and chats on the deck that are punctuated by our own brand of non sequitur conversation.
Bird and Deal will slurp up some lime sorbet, but I have other plans for that icy, gooey goodness. You can’t beat a cocktail that also serves as dessert…my favorite kind of two-fer!
Sorbet Margarita
1 ounce tequila
wedge of fresh orange
sprig or two of fresh mint
Lime sorbetsplash Cointreau
Pour tequila into martini glass. Squeeze in juice from orange wedge. Add mint and muddle a bit with the back of a spoon. Drop in one scoop of lime sorbet. Top with splash of Cointreau. Serve with a small spoon.
Believe, you won’t be sore about anything after eating…drinking this!
