I was thinking that gin season was over. I do love gin, but in a way I was hoping it was a thing of season’s past. I love fall and that comes with it. Alas, Mother Nature is a menopausal dame in North Carolina so gin season is still here. Temps are in the mid-80s, and the blue sky shimmers cloudless. I think for this weekend at least, gin is still in.
Gin Is Still In
1 ounce Bombay Sapphire gin
1 ounce Lillet Blanc
3 ounces limeade
Fill a cocktail shake with ice. Pour in gin, Lillet Blanc, and limeade. Shake ‘er up. Strain into a martini glass. No garnish required for this clean, cool drink.
This cocktail is like a poor man’s Corpse Reviver. We’re keeping gin alive, one balmy October day at a time.
